Gotta Tell You A Story

Tonight Rambo headed out to pick up the rest of the guys in our band for a get together at the Norton-St.Paul game. He shows up at Porkchop's house, and here sits Chop with an AK-47 in the right hand and an almost-empty fifth of Wild Turkey in the left. An amost equally intoxicated Willie joins them and proceeds to ride to Norton. While there they find yours truly waiting in the parking lot with elp6n (who was waiting on her photog equipment from Ron Skeber at the Coalfield). We proceed to shoot the crap for about a half an hour and go in to hang out. Porkchop is walking, doing his thing, but is quiet. We are all sitting watching the game almost at halftime (I guess 2 hrs later or so), and alas porkchop finally speaks, looking at me and saying " We are in Norton?". I say "Uh, yeah-when did you figure that out?", and he says "Well, I saw those yellow jerseys, and figured we were at Norton"...didn't see the B's all over the place, orange all over the place, Kenny Crowder on the PA? I was sorely tempted to try to convince him that we were in Neyland Stadium, but even wasted he'd know that I'd not be at Neyland. The kicker is that boy had to be at work at midnight tonight.

Questions for the night:
Why didn't Rambo make a U-turn when he saw chop with the 47 and booze?
Did chop make it to work sober?
How did Chop and Willie avoid arrest with 50 cops there tonight? Especially with Willie being like 6-7 350
and the biggie: Why do I hang out with these turkeys?

Seriously though, it was good seeing Rambo. 2 out of 4 sober-could have been worse.

I have been blitzed a time or two back in the day, but I honestly believe he was as hammered as a man can get. Sober he is kinda pink-faced. Tonight he was as white as a ghost.

I tell you I knew I should have gone to that game alone when I pulled up the drive and saw those two. I have to say that chop was probably in the worse condition I've ever seen him in. It was good to hang out with you though brother. It's a wonder we weren't drunk at the end of the night from the smell of those two.
